Ep 20 | Lone Rider

Lone Rider

In the solitary world of Ultra Adventure Cycling, Jay Petervary is the best there is. A pioneer of the grueling endurance sport of bike-packing, Jay is a four time world record holder on the 2,800 mile Tour Divide. His 15-day ride over the Continental Divide from Canada to New Mexico is considered to be an untouchable feat. Now Petervary will embark on the toughest challenge of his career as he rides into the Liguria region of North West Italy to set an ultra race benchmark on the region's storied Alta Via stage race route. With no concept of quitting, Petervary will push himself both mentally and physically to the brink, as he battles harsh weather and extreme fatigue to reach his ultimate goal of completing the grueling 311 mile ride in just 5 days and become the first rider to finish the Liguria Mountain Divide.
