Mission Antarctica - Part 1
A modern expedition unlike any other. Legendary British explorer Leo Houlding joins up with Jean Burgun, a French climber, and Mark Sedon, a Kiwi cameraman, to take on the Spectre, one of the most remote peaks in the world. To even reach the mountain, the team must first undertake a weeks long, 1700 km trans-continental journey. Using skis and hi-tech snow-kites, the team relies on fickle, windy conditions to help pull themselves and their 200 kg sleds across the endless ice. Alone and utterly unassisted, the team’s exposure to risk is off the charts.
