We’ll host twenty exciting bicycle races for all ages and abilities, including a kids race, juniors, men’s and women’s amateur races, and a new men’s masters race category for ages 45+, in addition to the professional men’s and women’s races that will close out the day in downtown Anniston. Did you catch race number seven, the Lake Bluff Criterium? Spoiler alert: it's rad. So many big rides: Brandon Feehery of Project Echelon Racing grabbed points in ALL the sprints (1st, 1st, 2nd) and a fourth place overall to stretch out his lead in both jersey competitions. His form and focus right now are fantastic. Clever Martinez of the Miami Blazer is turning it up as the summer goes along, and Clever came in third overall, jumping over Thomas Gibbonsfor third in the series. Clever has had a fantastic Intelli cup, and next week, with Alfredo Rodriquezstill sidelined, we'll see the top three shift even more. Alfredo is due back by IU Health Momentum Indy, so we'll see our podium come down to the wire. And how about Andrea Cyr of ButcherBox Racing? She had one job, and she nailed it. She won all the in-race sprints and took eight overall for 98 points total. With three races left, she is not only cementing her second place, but Maggie Coles-Lyster of DNA Pro Cycling is within reach: overall and for the Green sprinter's jersey. The Green is a two-woman race right now. So close. What else is close? The Women's team competition. Anna Christian of Colavita-Factor is crushing the U23 competition, and she and her Colavita-Factor ladies are just one point off from DNA. One point! Littleton Twilight will be a must-watch as these riders and competitions continue to come down to the wire.

On the Men's side, Project Echelon Racing's Brandon Feehery goes into the last race with a lock on both competitions. Leading the sprint competition from the start, he took over the overall lead after the Salt Lake Criterium. Having a consistent series, Brandon racked up points through high-place finishes and winning intermediate sprint points. Behind him, the races are for other podium steps, where Clever Martinez of the Miami Blazers and Alfredo Rodriquez of Best Buddies Racing are locked into a race to finish second. Race number one of the American Criterium Cup: Speed Week's Athens Orthopedic Clinic Twilight, presented by Michelob Ultra, and Visit Athens in beautiful Athens, Georgia. The course is a classic, fast four-corner crit at just one kilometer and 18 feet gain per lap. The speed makes this race brutally hard, with a lap speed average of nearly 30 miles per hour. Grafton, Wisconsin, home of the Giro D’ Grafton of the eleven-day Tour of America’s Dairyland and race number four of the American Criterium Cup, became the stage for hard-fought battles to retain the Selle Italia Red leaders’ jersey. When the dust settled, Andrea Cyr would retain her lead, while Danny Summerhill would suffer a mechanical in the last lap, costing him a top placing and the series lead. The Giro D’ Grafton is a 1.4-kilometer course through an idyllic village on the Milwaukee River, The race features six corners and a long 325-meter drag from the last corner to the finish line. The race is fast, technical, and difficult to get away, and as expected, both races came down to a field sprint.
