Liftoff is an adventure documentary following one of the world's best wingsuit pilots Jokke Sommer and his friend, big wave surfer, kite surfer, and acrobat Niccolo Porcella. The team gets started with some tracking BASE jumps. Weather issues come into play, and the team has to camp out near an exit and wait for a weather gap as the last light is fading.

Niccolo makes a dangerous mistake on a routine jump, and the team is reminded of the natural consequences of minor errors in the sport.

 Jokke is called on to work on a film project with Espen Fadnes. The team visits the shoot and sees Jokke and Espen perform some extreme stunts.

The team travels to Switzerland to resume training, and Jokke gets a job working on an IMAX movie with some renowned wingsuit pilots.
