A Gravel Epiphany

At the end of last year, we traveled to the US gravel hotspot, Bentonville, Arkansas, to capture the off-road racing debut of Axeon Hagens Berman's homeboy, Michael Garrison. What we captured was much more than a mere race on a bicycle. After several tire problems derailed Michael's dreams of glory, the 21-year-old native of Decatur, Georgia, went through a personal journey, intertwining a specific need for escapism, an intense hunger for speed, and a rekindling of family history. This is why we ride and why BMC supports these athletes. Ultimately, this is why we Create Speed.
