Murren, Switzerland | Season Pass

There are places in the ski universe that every snow lover should aspire to visit one day. At the top of that list is Switzerland – considered to be the birthplace of ski tourism. Amidst the mega resorts and World Cup tour spots is the small, picturesque mountain village of Murren. Completely cut off from car traffic, Murren is perched on the side of a cliff and is connected to all of the region’s best ski terrain by cable car or train. From town, visitors can ride to the top of the Schilthorn, where the summit offers jaw-dropping views of famous peaks – the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau. With its massive, interconnected ski runs and abundant powder, this is the kind of place “snowriding” dreams are made of. Local Sasha Schmid shows Hugo Harrison around this one-of-a-kind destination. They explore all that the Jungfrau region has to offer – lift-accessed steeps, powdery trees, and one run that ends at a cliff’s edge.
