The Marigold Project

Since growing up in rural Missouri, musician Nathaniel Rateliff has witnessed first-hand the impact of corporate consolidation and factory farming which has played a devastating role on both the environment and farming communities. Today Nathaniel is using his voice to call attention to “food justice” through music and his Denver based foundation “The Marigold Project”. Working to increase awareness, The Marigold Project” is focused on the three principals of that define food justice; 1.) Access to fresh, healthy, locally grown, and culturally appropriate food. 2.) Living wages and fair working conditions for all food system workers. 3.) Community control over food systems, through community-based agriculture and cooperatives.
